This year’s all-digital Consumer Electronics Show seems to have come and went without the normal amount of hoopla.
But that didn’t stop Kohler from stealing the “smart home” show with a variety of smart bath products, including this $16,000 Stillness Bathtub.
“But what does $16,000 buy?” you ask.
- full spectrum LED lights
- an infinity ledge which means plumbers will have to install these perfectly level
- essential oils for an aromatherapy experience
- a fog machine not kidding
- voice controls with an app
This bathtub makes the perfect upsell for your customer that went all-in on GameStop stock and doesn’t know what to do with their windfall of winnings
Allow this Smart Toilet to collect your “data”?
Although not an official product yet, Toto made a “big move” in the toilet world with the announcement of their new Wellness Toilet at CES.
Yes, it would operate like any fancy toilet with a heated seat, remote control, and all the spa-like features that your nether regions require these days.
However, this toilet would be privy to information about you that not even Mark Zuckerberg has figured out how to obtain. This is because:
- It analyzes your, um, waste.
- Then uses the app on your phone to make charts, and stuff, about it.
So, the next time you go to your smart fridge and tell it to place an Amazon Fresh delivery order for your next batch of groceries, don’t be surprised if you get a notification on your phone:
“Might we suggest adding a box of Fiber One to this order?”
