The Consumer Electronics Show just wrapped up in Las Vegas and here are some innovations that are somewhat related to the world of tile.
For the contractors:
Ram is releasing their first-ever EV pickup for the 2024 model year. I have to admit, it looks pretty cool!
Plus, it surely has that Ram quality that you’ve come to expect. You know, the knocking engine and haywire electronics.
Lenovo Smart paper
If you are a contractor that struggles with technology, you might look into the new Smart Paper tablet from Lenovo.
It’s an electronic tablet with a stylus but the appeal is that writing on it feels like paper instead of a screen.
Further, since it’s electronic, you can easily upload your writings/drawings to other devices and edit them there.
For your customers:
Under the category of “things you will never find at Barry Bond’s house” is the at-home pee sensor that you can attach to your toilet.
You can use it to track your health, nutrition, kidney health, and ‘roid use (probably).
There’s another cartridge for women that track menstrual cycles and fertility.
Kohler Numi smart toilet
What costs $8000 and doesn’t track your stool? The new Kohler toilet, of course.
The Numi 2.0 comes with:
- Led lights inside and outside the bowl
- Motion sensing
- A spray wand with customizable
- water pressure
- spray shape
- water temperature
- Heated seat
- Warm air drying system
- Built-in speaker system
- Amazon Alexa compatible
Shower Power Pro
A hydro-powered Bluetooth speaker/showerhead. Yes, it’s powered by the water that runs through it and comes with LED lights that tell you how hot the water is (red is hot, blue is cold).
It’s made from recycled plastic and the Pro version tracks water usage while showering. See on Amazon (not an affiliate link)
Kohler Sprig aromatherapy shower head attachment
