My favorite story that I found this month: Tiktok’er @thenewyorknest was both “fascinated” and “scared” that contractors were mudding her floors.
Other Tiktokers opined in the comments:
- “It looks like the worst choice possible”~ @tits_like_tia_tamera
- “Girl pls tell me this is a joke”~ @floptropica.lore
- “I grew up poor and we had a mud floor”~ @mirae1313

Artisan training held in Wisconsin
An artisan training program, sponsored by the NTCA and Laticrete, was recently held at Dragonfly Tile and Stone Works for the first time ever.
The 4-day program is now being dubbed A.R.T., which stands for Artisan Revolution in Tile. It consisted of 15 attendees from all over the country that made a mosaic art piece.
They were trained in not only the hands-on techniques but also some of the business aspects such as dealing with customers and pricing. There are currently no announcements of future classes but we’ll keep things updated.

NAHB dives into the average age of construction workers and compares them to other industries.
Don’t forget: I did my own research on how old the trades are in the Tile Geeks Facebook group. So, you know it’s definitely scientific.
